I always knew I wanted to be an artist. Every year, my mom would have us fill out these little books that had the same questions, most memorably the "What do you want to be when you grow up?" question. Every year I gave the same answer: artist. Growing up I also had a love of computers, particularly logging hours and hours playing The Sims. Once I started high school, I knew I needed to find a way to apply my love of art and computers to a career. Luckily, the local community college had a Graphic Design Vocational Studies program, and I enrolled my junior year of high school. I knew immediately that I wanted to pursue graphic design as a career.
After graduating from the University of Central Missouri with a BFA in Graphic Design, I worked for a couple small businesses as their graphic designer before moving to the corporate ladder under Cox Automotive. And I've been doing that ever since.
Some of my hobbies include reading when I make the time for it, playing video games when I should be reading, trying every mac and cheese offered in KC, sampling every kind of craft beer I can get my hands on, cuddling with my cat Navi, and cheering on Sporting KC every chance I get.
